Behavior & School Support for Parents (Virtual)

If you’re feeling unsure about your child’s behavior at home, concerned about school, or preparing for an upcoming IEP or evaluation, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I provide virtual parent consultation to help you understand what’s driving your child’s behavior and what steps to take next at home, at school, or both. Many families begin working with me through Social Learning Lab groups and continue with individualized parent coaching for more specific support.

How I Support Parents

Behavior at Home

Parents work with me when they need help with:

Tantrums, emotional outbursts, or shutdowns
Difficulty following directions or transitions
Daily routines (morning, homework, bedtime)
Building cooperation and independence
Creating consistency and structure at home

You’ll leave sessions with practical strategies you can use right away.

School & IEP Support

I also help parents navigate the school system with clarity and confidence.

Support may include:

Preparing for IEP or 504 meetings
Understanding evaluations, reports, and recommendations
Reviewing goals, services, and placement options
Identifying appropriate behavior supports at school
Writing effective emails and communicating with the school team
Planning next steps when things don’t seem to be working

My goal is to help you feel informed, prepared, and confident advocating for your child.

What a Parent Consultation Includes

Virtual sessions are typically 45 minutes and may include:

Review of your concerns and current challenges
Understanding the function behind behavior
Clear, practical strategies for home and/or school
Guidance on school planning, meetings, or communication
A plan for next steps

Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on real-life solutions.
