Social Learning Labs offers three developmentally appropriate programs to ensure every child is grouped with peers at a similar stage:

AGES 4-5 - EARLY LEARNERS

This program is designed for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children who:

- Play next to other children but struggle to play WITH them

- Have difficulty sharing toys or waiting for a turn

- Don't yet have the words to express big feelings

- Grab, push, or hit when frustrated

- Need support understanding basic social rules like personal space

- Want to engage with peers but don't know how to start

AGES 6-7 - YOUNG LEARNERS ⭐ NOW ENROLLING

This program is designed for kindergarten and 1st grade children who:

- Want to make friends but don't know how to start conversations or join play

- Have difficulty reading social cues from other children

- Become frustrated or rigid when play doesn't go their way

- Feel shy, anxious, or unsure in group settings

- Miss invitations to play or get left out at recess

- Need support managing emotions during social interactions

AGES 8-9 - OLDER LEARNERS

This program is designed for 2nd and 3rd grade children who:

- Struggle with conflict resolution and compromise with peers

- Are told they're "bossy," "too intense," or "always have to be right"

- Have difficulty reading facial expressions, body language, or tone of voice

- Get stuck on rules and struggle with flexible thinking

- Want friendships but social interactions often go wrong

- Need deeper social problem-solving skills

What Children Will Learn

6-Week Foundational Series

Ages 6 - 7 Curriculum (May 3, 2026 - Now Enrolling):

Week 1 – Reading the Room: Understanding emotions and body signals

Week 2 – The Social Entry Blueprint: Starting and joining conversations

Week 3 – My Turn, Your Turn: Flexibility and turn-taking in play

Week 4 – The Calm Toolkit: Managing frustration and developing coping skills

Week 5 – Solution Thinking with Friends: Problem-solving with peers

Week 6 – Putting It All Together: Confidence, friendship skills, and real-life practice

 

Each age group follows a 6-week foundational curriculum specifically adapted to their developmental level. The Ages 4-5 and Ages 8-9 curricula are tailored to meet the unique social-emotional needs of each age range.

 

After the foundational series, families may continue in ongoing groups to strengthen and generalize skills in new contexts.

 

Parent Support

Parent involvement is key to success.

Each session includes:

  • 15-minute parent debrief

  • Written strategy handout

  • Guidance for practicing skills at home and in the community

Session Length: 1 hour (45 minutes instruction + 15 minutes parent coaching)

This special rate is available ONLY for our first Spring 2026 cohort (Ages 6-7, Kindergarten & 1st Grade) as a thank you to the families helping us launch Social Learning Labs.

 

Our standard rate is $120 per session ($720 for 6 weeks). By enrolling in our founding cohort, you save $90.
